Hints on weekly lab reports' format
-
Figures and tables should be placed on the page following the page in which
the table or figure is referenced.
-
Use 1.5 or double spacing.
-
Add figures or tables to discussion of results only if important.
If added they must be referenced and discussed in detail.
-
All figures and tables discussed, must be typed (no handwriting).
-
Remember to discuss uncertainties as well as include them with your data.
You might want to discuss what were the largest sources of error.
-
Use numbers to discuss graph, not just relative words. For example:
percent differences, percent increases/decreases.
-
Do not place equations into discussion of results.
-
Each table or figure should be placed on their own page.
-
Use significant digits only.
-
Discussion of result should not be a sequential discussion of your calculations.
