For your second assignment you have the opportunity to develop a project planning document and estimate the effort required to produce a proposed system from its requirements. You are to work with your SRS groups of 3 or 4. Each team member is to upload a participation memo to Canvas. Your participation score will be computed by averaging the individual grades (0 = nothing, 1 = poor to 5 = great) from all team members (including yourself).
Your group is to work with the augmented reality room design tool requirements document produced by your team and create a project plan for its implementation. Your plan should take into account the effort involved to develop the user interface for the system, even if it was not included in the original requirements.
Your final document will need to conform to Pressman's planning document template which may be found at: http://www.rspa.com/docs/Projectplan.html. Your document will need to contain the following sections: introduction (project scope, major software functions, inputs, outputs); project estimates (time and cost of producing the system using two techniques – function point with comoco and one other method to allow estimate reconciliation; risk management (risk table and risk information sheets for significant risks); project schedule (including deliverables, milestones, work breakdown structure, activity graph); project team organization and staff allocation plan; tracking and control mechanisms (include some type of online tool for quality assurance). You will need to include a reference list and traceability matrix.
You are not required to do any programming of this system before you complete your project plan. Your written project plan is due in 3 weeks and your team will be required to upload an eight minute presentation (powerpoint with audio or a video) on 10-23-23. You will be assigned to review three team presentations in Canvas. This is a very difficult assignment. Do not put off starting it till the last minute. Your final project plan must be uploaded to Canvas by 10-26-23.
