Short Bio
Dr. Jinhua Guo is the founder and director of Vehicular
Networking
Systems Research Laboratory and an Associate Professor in the Computer and Information
Science
Department at the University of Michigan - Dearborn.
He obtained his Ph.D. from the University
of
Georgia
in the Department of Computer Science
in 2002. He also held B.E. and M.E. both in Computer Science from
Dalian University of Technology,
China.
Dr. Guo has worked on a range of important
problems
in experimental computer systems, spanning distributed systems,
scientific computing, mobile computing, and vehicular networking. His
research has been funded by highly competitive
external
and internal sources, including NSF,
Chrysler, OVPR, Rackham, and CEEP.
He was also a recipient of the IEEE/ASEE Frontiers in Education New
Faculty Fellow Award and the University of Michigan Rackham Faculty
Fellow Award.
