Members Section National SWE Online Resources Need to renew your membership? How about your contact information? You can do all this and a lot more through the Member Services Area on the National SWE website. SWE Office Upcoming Events March 19th Meet at the SWE office @ 9pm. Depart by 9:15. Check out the calendar for more events! **IMPORTANT** the deadline to sign up for the National Conference Points Program is March 11th for the November Conference. Please let Laura or Kelly L know ASAP if you would like to be included in this. (You must be a PAID SWE member) **The fund raising committee is still low on members, please contact Kelly Goodman if you would like to be involved. Remember girls we can't do anything like have free food at meeting to send girls to the National Conference without funding. If you want SWE to provide this, we need you help raising money. Thanks :) -COMMITTEES- Committees are a new thing for our chapter that we're pretty excited about. You do not have to be elected to a committee position. Each committee has a target MINIMUM number of people we would like to be on each committee. If more people are interested in being on a committee though, (ie if the min number is 4 and 6 people are interested) that is fine, the more people involved the more we can do! Committees are a great way to be involved with SWE since individual committees hold their own meetings at their convenience are plan events to invite the rest of our SWE members to. Committees require dedicated members but you are able to put in as much or as little time as you see fit to accomplish the goals of your committee for the school year, at your convenience. Once committees are formed, the members of the committee will chose a convenient time for their schedules to meet. They can meet as often or as little as they see fit to meet the goals of their committee. Committee members are NOT officers and therefore will not be fully reimbursed for conference trips. However they ARE E-Board members and will get priority over general members for refunds to help pay for conference trips (ie we go to the dean with a budget for the conference. we include a partial reimbursement for "members other than officers" total in our budget but we do not always get the full budget we ask for. Thus, the order in which people are reimbursed are Officers (full reimbursement), E-Board (partial reimbursement), members (partial reimbursement IF moneys are available) Please talk to an officer if you have any questions or would like to help out. Kelly Goodman: Fundraising Chair Ashley Yoder: Volunteering Chair The volunteering committee met on October 3th to discuss upcoming volunteering event. Currently we are in the process of setting up either an "Angel Tree" or "Adopt a Family" Please check for updates. More information to come. Thursday Nov. 13th there will a meeting between officers in other engineering orgs to discuss upcoming joint events. Please check for updates.
