DENSO Climate Control
Education and Research Laboratory
Goals

With the generous support by DENSO North America Foundation the DENSO Climate Control Laboratory was developed for teaching and research in Vehicle Climate Control.  The dedicated laboratory will significantly enhance the students' quality and experience in thermal related areas within the mechanical engineering program at UMD for many years.

The laboratory objectives are to

  1. Support instruction within the mechanical engineering curriculum and the broader scope of the engineering curriculum.  The lab will provide the facilities for supporting significant individual student and group design projects in automotive climate control and other thermal related areas.
  2. Support and enhance current research in automotive climate control and other thermal management areas.
